Custom Acoustic SolutionsPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School in Melbourne recently approached Melfoam Acoustic to design and produce some very special acoustic foam panels that would be an architectural feature in their open learning area. It was decided that the acoustic foam would be cut into hexagonal panels and then position on the ceiling to create a bee hive appearance. These soundproofing acoustic foam panels are able to absorb all the noise reverberations created by students running around and talking loudly so that the open space becomes an excellent area in which the students can study and learn. The attached video shows the layout of the soundproofing panels that have excellent sound absorption properties. | |
